This hammer is designed for any AR-type platform which uses a blow back operation. The recontouring prevents "trigger-slap" which damages the disconnector (rear of hammer slaps into the disonnector causing damage and eventual failure of the disconnector), premature damaging of the hammer pin, and deterioration of the rear of the hammer. This is a must for any 9mm AR-Pattern 9mm PCC.
Nice 9mm hammer. I have several of these on various builds. All have been Schmid hammers. Only complaint is that metal is raw from cutting off tail.
Wish they would make a nickel coated one.
