Centurion Arms is offering a Law Enforcement ONLY, 2 Day Armorer Basic Familiarization Training Program M16, M4- Series Weapons, 5.56mm, 7.62mm & 9mm Family of Weapons. The course will be taught for Centurion Arms by Chris Bartocci from Small Arms Solutions with nearly 40 years of experience.

Classes will be held at a Johnson County, Indiana law enforcement facility. 

Instructor:

Chris Bartocci is a leader in the firearms industry with a 35+ year career. Chris is a former US Army member with 10 years as a forensic firearms examiner, worked for Colt Defense, Otis Technology, and LMT, and has consulted for many industry leaders such as ArmaLite, LWRCI, Centurion Arms, American Tactical, Diamondback Firearms, M+M Firearms, and Core Rifle Systems, and consulted for Picatinny Arsenal, to name a few.

Chris has conducted international and domestic armorer’s courses on the AR15/M16/M4 family of weapons and grenade launchers for military and law enforcement for Colt, LMT, and Small Arms Solutions. Also, for different companies, attended trade shows, weapon testing, and other weapon-related issues throughout the globe in 31 countries.

A very large part of Chris’s work is writing. He has written armorer, operator, and technical manuals for various companies, including Colt, LMT, and LWRCI. He is an accomplished author with over 200 publications in the AFTE Journal, Small Arms Review, Small Arms Defense Journal, American Rifleman, Shooting Illustrated, and others regarding modern military/LE small arms. He is the author of Black Rifle 2 (Collector Grade Publications)/America's Rifle (Small Arms Publishing) and co-authored Vickers Guide Vol 1 and 2 Revision 2, amongst others.

Course Detail:

  • Centurion Armorer Training Program is a 2 full day Basic Armorer’s course goals are for
    maintaining AR15/AR10/M16 and M4-series of firearms. This course includes, but is not
    limited to :
    1. Nomenclature of the rifle.
    2. Basic field stripping.
    3. Instruction of cycle of operation.
    4. Complete detail disassembly.
    5. Component identification.
    6. Detail reassembly.
    7. Function check.
    8. Basic trouble shooting and corrective action.

 

  • The Armorer program is geared toward Internal Piston (DI) versions of these weapon
    systems.

 

  • The students will be required to provide their own weapon for the training. This enables
    them to get the familiarity of working on the specific weapons they issue. Every student
    will be given a detailed manual covering all the points of the class so that they have a
    detailed reference material when they go back to work on their weapons. Students will be
    required to have basic tools such as roll pin punches, hammer, and a screwdriver. Other
    tools will be provided as well as gauges for the class.
