T-OCKS (Torque Optimized Carrier Key Screws) with an enhanced torque head (T-25) for a more reliable and stronger install.
After many rounds of manual installation for our carrier keys on our Sandcutter Carriers we ran into a repetative issue. It was too easy to incorrectly seat the driving tool and over crank on the OCKS, resulting in some slightly stripped screws. Monty went into his problem solving mode and contacted Ned Christansen (OCKS creator) and came up with a plan to upgrade the screws with a torque head instead. This reduces the chances of overclocking the screws when installing them into the carriers while still providing all of the benefits of the OCKS; that deep knurling to the top of the head and 12 splines to ensure proper carrier metal contact when staking of the carrier key is applied.
These screws are a great fastener even without the staking of the key but most effective when staking is applied.
